DIY: Lilly Inspired Vase

This will be my very first DIY post! My apologies for not getting step by step photos, I will do that on future posts.
This little vase is perfect for holding makeup brushes or pens/pencils. I plan on taking mine to college. The best part? It only costs around $4 to make!

Step 1: Go to the nearest Dollar Tree and pick out a glass vase/bowl. They have several shapes to choose from. (I also got paintbrushes here but I would not recommend that, they're very bad quality!)

Step 2: You will need acrylic paint in light, medium, dark pink, green, light green, white & blue if you want to do Lilly Hotty Pink First Impression (I already had pink so I just used white to make it lighter for the different shades). You also need spray Modge Podge in gloss finish.

Step 3: Wash the glass with soap and water.

Step 4: Make the outline of the flowers in light pink. Go inside the outline and make random arch shapes.

Step 5: Go in with medium pink then dark pink filling in the flowers with small arch shapes to look like petals.

Step 6: Fill in any spaces in the flower with white.

Step 7: Use light green paint to add leaves then use the dark green to outline & add detail.

Step 8: Paint around the flowers/leaves in light blue.

Step 9: Let it dry then spray with Modge Podge, it will give the vase a pretty shiny finish!

Let me know if you have any questions!
